Ok, first, read this story. It's about how Des Moines mom Jane Hambleton sold her son's car after finding a bottle of liquor under the front seat. It's earned her some instant celebrity.
You know what was refreshing? That the article didn't refer to the kid's ethnicity or whether he was adopted. He was just a regular underage kid whose mom sold his car because he tried to hide booze in it.

OK, it's really late. What am I supposed to be seeing with my extra close look at the photo?
i've been staring at the photo for awhile now and i still don't see anything out of the ordinary . . . can we at least have a hint? =)
If you're referring to what I think you're referring to (and why you'd post it here): Heh. :)
oh, poor maddox.
um... okay, I give. What's the secret in the photo? I half expected to find a booze bottle hidden somewhere... :-)

Definitely not his father's Oldsmobile.
And not his anymore, either.
I love the mom's spunk. If only more parents had the guts to be, you know, parents.
Wow. If that doesn't make you think then I don't know what does. How nice of that mom to buy him a car in the first place though...
