Woh I woke up and read this article. Um did I just dream the last decade? Am I really stuck in 1997? Plus there is a strangely familiar dude on the page.
I can't wait until their next article on this new MP3 thing I've been hearing about or maybe something about teh internetz.

Wow - had to run and get our copy of Time that just got delivered today! Kudos, Jason!!! What a great photo - you two look so happy. :)
Did they have permission to use your photo?
Way to steal my thunder, dude. :)
I was gonna post on disl and here about it on Monday. The date on the issue is Oct. 15, so it's not on stands yet, but they upload new issues onto their site on Thursday afternoons.
Reporter Lisa Takeuchi Cullen is a hapa mom who covers the evolving workplace beat, and we met thru her leaving a comment on my RD post about the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia earlier this summer.
They had to cut the story, so my paragraph got cut, and voila, a photo of me and The Pumpkin illustrating a story with no explanatory context. :)
I'll write more on this soon, but suffice it to say that I discovered a new sympathy for models and their "work." :) (Half a day shooting! Three different set-ups! And what do they pick to use? Big fat me with no shirt on, of course.)
More on this soon, I promise, here and on disl...
Sorry bro, they should have mentioned you in the article. It's not like it's the tightest piece ever written. And their examination of gender roles, parenting, and masculinity are seriously Keatonesque.
And take it from me, Fat is like the new Skinny 2.0
Wow Jason, you are famous. It's funny because when I heard that headline I thought about you.
I noticed Newsweek had a similar article a couple weeks back, so maybe Time had to rush this out.
great photo, DISL, and context is overrated, anyhow.
Am I imagining things or is that an inflatable anteater?
DISL, what you talkin about? you be lookin sexeeee!
Nice beefcake shot, dude. Can't wait for the calendar to come out!
Nice half-page shot of you and The Pumpkin! Hope they gave you a huge framed print for your family room.
First Sandia, no that's not an anteater! It's a dolphin. :)
Peachboy, I haven't seen it in print yet--half a page?! Oy. Yeah, after a 3 month embargo from publication, we can get stuff from the photog. Yay!
Kim, Rachel, thanks for the compliments. :)
And Henri, Metro, Soulsnax and Larry--better go wax up for your turns for the 2008 "Who's Your Rice Daddy?" charity calendar. ;)
Just posted at disl about the photo/article, read it here.
Someone better lose their job over that oversight. I mean, come on. You're the main photo subject without any mention of you, or your awesome website? Maybe it was a affirmative action thing ;)

So Lisa put her cut-from-print dadblogroll on her Time blog today--check it out Henri, she saw your post and namechecked you. Heh.
Oooh, I can't wait to see our office copy so I can brag that I know this hip-dad! Woohoo!
Wow I'm in Time magazine! Err I mean Time Magazine Blog. Rad.
